Unfortunately, most young men are not being given what they need and are often misguided by their friends and the media. This workshop will show you why some of the modern approaches to working with young men fall short of their goals. You’ll see how we’ve converted ancient ceremonies and challenges into successful communication and motivation strategies. This workshop will show you how to use The RIGHT Way® method that gives you the insights and tools to help young people toward respectful behavior and resourceful relationships. Using the RIGHT Way® method, coaches will know how to provide clear direction and implementation of strategies for the players and their parents. You’ll learn how to effectively communicate and emulate the values and behaviors of your team. And to conserve your energy, you'll understand how to gain the team’s confidence by meeting their biological needs without engaging their psychological demands. The trust they develop prevents them from feeling like they need to "fix" each other or the young men. As a result of their bonding, the mentors have a unified vision and commitment to serve the young men at their initiation. They are now ready to "run with the bulls" at the Weekend! Background checks are conducted on all of our volunteers to ensure that we have a high level of character. Any male over the age of 21 who is interested in attending the Development and Trust Workshop or becoming a mentor at the YMUW must be approved to attend by the Event Manager of the local Weekend. RIGHT Day GatheringThe purpose of this monthly meeting is to create a resourceful community by providing an environment where each person is physically safe as well as mentally and spiritually secure to creatively express their true nature so that they can practice living with integrity within themselves, toward other people, and the universe. Women, men and children are welcome to learn The RIGHT Way™ principles and practices by engaging in activities that promote personal growth and service. There will be ceremony, fun, discussion, volunteer opportunities, meditation and celebration each session. First Sunday of each month 10:30 am – 12 noon, San Rafael (May 4th, June 1st, July 6th, Aug.3rd, Sept. 7th, Oct. 5th, Nov.2nd, Dec.7th)

Our workshops are hosted by Dr. Mark Schillinger, a performance presenter -- an educator who entertains his audiences with laughter and live music to stimulate participation and accelerate the learning experience. His holistic approach to teaching includes storytelling, open forum discussion, graphically rich PowerPoint, role-playing, and informative handouts.
It's not easy being young. Young people are anxious about the prospect of becoming an adult. And today's fast-paced world, combined with conflicting multimedia messages, create internal confusion and contributes to over-stimulated young minds. What can parents do to build the trust and teamwork required for healthy families? Don't be handicapped when steering your children through the course of life.
Parents often feel like they need to give up their journey of personal growth in order to meet the demanding daily responsibilities of family life. There's no need to be discontent thinking that you need to have two separate lives, one as an evolving adult and one as a busy parent. 
Divorced parents need not feel guilty nor handicapped in their abilities to create happy and respectful households because they are parenting separately. Understanding that parenting is a direct and difficult way to develop your emotional and spiritual life, brings a larger context than any contracted perspective you may have associated with your divorce.
There is a moral deficit occurring in sports involving our children. Our youth are being deprived of the life lessons they should be learning through the challenges of competition. Instead of being taught that contests give them the opportunity to develop their physical, mental and emotional capabilities, young people are often allowed to be disrespectful to their opponents, coaches and parents.
In order for a volunteer to serve as a mentor at the YMUW, he must attend an all day orientation (Development & Trust Workshop), participating in classes and ceremonies that shows him the RIGHT Way® to be with young men. The mentors receive information and instruction to become men of integrity, preparing to serve as role models of the YMUW values.
