Dear Young Men, Parents, Guardians and Sponsors,

Congratulations on your decision to participate in the upcoming Young Men's Ultimate Weekend! This letter will provide you with the information you need to become part of this transformative experience for young men and their families. Directions to the site can be found at the end of this letter.

The October 2007 YMUW is being held at Walker Creek Ranch in Marshall, CA located at 1700 Marshall-Petaluma Road. The registration check-in table will be open Friday 10/19 between 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Please arrive on time.

It is critical that all young men be prepared for all possible types of activities and weather conditions. There may be poison oak around the campgrounds. Young men should bring the following items: sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, batteries, athletic shoes, all - weather boots or shoes, gloves, rain gear, swimming trunks, towel, extra clothing, and a toilet kit including toothbrush and paste, soap, and sunscreen.

Our safety staff will be equipped with first aid and over-the-counter supplies. Any special medications must be supplied by the young man. The young men are not permitted to bring any of the following items: weapons, knives, electronic equipment (audio or visual), cell phones, tobacco (unless ages 18 or older), non-prescription drugs, alcohol and tents.

You are expected to arrive on Sunday 10/21 by 1 p.m. to participate in the one hour program, "The RIGHT Way® to Guide Young Men". You will learn how to apply the RIGHT Way® method to help you guide your sons more effectively. At the end of this one hour workshop, you'll know how to help your sons retain and develop the skills they learned at their Weekend. After this presentation, the Weekend concludes at 2 p.m. in a heartfelt ceremony reuniting the young men and the adults with a heightened awareness of the importance of family and a greater appreciation each other.

"The RIGHT Way® to Guide Young Men" is open to the public, so you're welcome to bring friends and family.

• Take Hwy 101 south to the East Washington Street exit in Petaluma.
• Travel west 1.9 miles. Turn left on Bantam Way.
• Travel 0.3 miles. Turn right on Western Avenue.
• Travel 0.8 miles. Turn left on Chileno-Valley Road.
• Travel 3.8 miles. Continue on Wilson Hill Road.
• Travel 2.6 miles. Continue on Marshall-Petaluma Road.
• Travel 4.5 miles to the entrance to the site.

From the South:

• Take Hwy 101 north to the De Long Ave exit in Novato.
• Travel west 0.6 miles. Turn right on Novato Blvd.
• Travel 8.6 miles. Turn right on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road.
• Travel 0.5 miles. Turn left on Hicks Valley Road.
• Travel 2.7 miles. Turn left on Marshall-Petaluma Road.
• Travel 4.5 miles to the entrance to the site.
